Hi, do you know any plugin or how to create scratches or dust effect in video for fcpx/motion/ae like in attached video?
Thank you for your advice!

You also can use footage. I prefer this way. It looks more realistic. There are a lot of them for free

You can find "Light Leaks" and "Film Damage" plugins all over the place. Mega-popular effect that, IMHO, is way too often used and over done. But check with MotionVFX and others, they have tons of these plugins around.

hmmmm…?
In >90%, and your example is no exception, it looks like "dust&hair" pasted over video…
same with the light leaks in your example: copy/paste because … it can be done.
There'slot of jokes about the Godfather of Light Leaks&Lense Flares, Mr Nolan, he's overdoing it, but at last 'correctly', there should be some light somewhere before leaking it ...
Applying dust&hair over a video-like done video looks … imho, just funny.
To give it some 'analogue' look, you have to care for (lack of) focus, color profile (e.g. there are all sorts of Kodak et al simulations avail), … and finally you can 'damage' your film, cross processing, flares, leaks, dirt - all the stuff, a DoP cared for in the chemical days it does NOT happen.
any dirt, flares, imperfections? esp. actually fancy shallow DoF: from muzzle to mountains - all crsytal clear! LOL
I'm no grader, but a friend of mine with expertise told me, video lacks first hand those 'micro jitter' a mechancial film has .... whooo, it soon gets esoteric on that road. :woohoo:
