Missing effects and Text Generator symbol????

Hi group, I had a computer issue yesterday and today I'm seeing some issues. First I downloaded a couple of 3d text effects from this site and I am using 10.1.4 once I did this I noticed the effects were in the correct area but if I put the mouse over the icon the missing effect symbol shows up. Today, I noticed some of my other effects such as coremelt are also showing missing symbols. I've tried restarting, going into command R to fix permissions, rebuild and using diskwarrior etc.

I've downloaded and reinstalled coremelt but nothing is fixing this. Please note this is NOT ALL MY EFFECTS just some.

If anyone can offer a hand I'd appreciate it.

I can't help with the coremelt effects, but if the 3d text effects use FCPX's built in 3d text generator they will require
FCPX version 10.2.0 or later.
