Project missing titles, generators etc error message on export

On occasion, I have gotten the error message that titles, generators etc are missing when export a project. There is actually nothing missing and the export goes as expected.

I found that if I snapshot that project, I can export the snapshot and also the original without getting the message.

Furthermore, if I have a project with nothing obvious missing but I am still getting the yellow triangle warning and I snapshot the triangle goes away.

I have reported this to Apple.

You can also get this if you're exporting a segment and there is something missing somewhere else in the project.

The error message does not prevent export for me.

Hi gang - When I export my project, I get ABSOLUTELY NO warnings about "Missing Titles", but when I play back the EXPORTED project movie file, I have 2 missing titles. I have no idea why this happened. I went back to FCPX and turned the 2 problematic titles OFF and back ON and I re-exported them. Again, no errors were reported... and this time, it was PERFECT.

My issue is that I had uploaded this video to YouTube (we are content creators) and discovered this error when viewing it on YouTube. It's frustrating because not only were NO errors reported upon export nor where there any red triangles in my Project, but I've been depending on FCPX playback to proof my projects... and when all is good, I then export it.

Does anyone have a clue on how to prevent this? Obviously, I can export and check the exported movie... BUT that adds lots of time to my workflow. This has never happened to me... but now I'm super paranoid.

I usually go to the File menu and delete all my render files before a final export.
Also, do you review your exported videos before uploading? You should always do a QA check before uploading/delivering anything.

I don't review my exported videos... at least I don't watch the entire thing.   I watch the entire video within FCPX timeline for my final review.  I've never had this problem with exporting.... and as I mentioned, If I watch the exported video all the time, it adds time to the workflow.  

I'm more concerned to know why this happened.  How does deleting the render file help ensure the final export is perfect?  Do you know why the final export would be missing a title, yet the video within the timeline is perfect? 

Are these FCP titles and generators or third party? The latter may not work correctly in selected export setting. There is always a yellow triangle in the lower right of the settings sheet when there is something wrong in the file. I’ve never seen or heard of that failings to appear.

Tom - they are 3rd party plugins (FxFactory).  When you say "settings sheet", is that the Settings tab on the Master share/ export screen?  If so, I didn't see any triangles there, which is odd.

What would be a setting on that screen that could affect a third party title?

It might have been a system hiccup, too... the fact that I simply turned on/ off the two titles (by selecting them then clicking 'V') and reexported it successfully might point to an isolated incident... maybe?
