Stabilizer not that smooth was created by Brinky
Hi,
I've got a new 45mm Olympus lense on my GH4. It is not stabilized so hand held operating is a bit hard. I tried to use the stabilization effect in FCP X but it's not that smooth as I hoped.
Shot 4k under led lights in house.
First imported on a 4k timeline downscaled to 1080p
Perhaps you guys good have a look. Unstabilized and corrected.
Is this all I can get, or do I have to work on my own steadiness?
Thanks!

Yeah, some of those Stabilize parameters need tweaking. I can't say off the top of what head what exactly. But that original shot is a LOT of shake and movement. You're really pushing it.

Thanks.I know that it's shaky. Try to practice that more. Also do some tweaking. On YouTube it's better looking than in fcp. Btw I intend to use the lense on tripod but just wanted to try out.

Lock & Load from Coremelt does a better job stabilizing than the control built-in to FCPX. I think there is a free trial version to test drive.

Another vote for Lock & Load.
It looks like some of the issue might be rolling shutter. Did you engage the Roller Shutter filter in FCPX? I'm not sure that'll help as it's never worked well for me. Lock & Load handles stuff like that better.

Did you try both the Smoothcam and Inertiacam options of the Stabilization? There is even a tripod mode, that might have worked on that kind of shot.
