Beautiful forest. Where is it?

Thanks, our back yard at south Finland. Some 10 000 years ago here was kilometer of ice that throw all those stones around.

I have mount issues for inside car shots - camera G7 goes crazy - watched all the C2 demos - cant replicate those results at all...
!!!
Here is my results from watching the demo.

I'm with Garug in the panning in drone videos. Especially the beginning and the end of pans and tilts are often visibly mechanical.
And in the videos I shoot I normally don't want people to think "hey he's got a drone"
You can see it from tv reports to cinema features. Probably a lot of people in deciding positions don' t mind.
I think there is no simple one-step solution to it.
In some instances using FCPXs built in stabilizer and tuning down the stabilizing values helps. In others if the objects within the frames don't move to much by themselves it's easier to smooth it via retiming.
But it would make for a nice plugin:"Unwanted mechanical pan stabilizer for drone shots"
And actually I'm in Finnland too at the moment, near Kuhmo...

And I forgot, back to the original question:
If you have really complicated shots to stabilize ( we once had to combine three different takes with moving camera - animals AND children ) the warp stabilizer in AE is really powerful. And sometimes it's necessary to do several instances of stabilizing.
Especially when having parallax issues because of moving ( or not moving) cameras the warp stabilizer can show it's powers.

I've used warp in Premiere CC, including the latest version (but not AE). I agree parallax is a big problem in stabilization but I've never seen warp or any other stabilizer fix this. How could it? It would have to hide imagery revealed behind the subject by parallax motion, plus it would have to isolate the subject from the background and apply different algorithms to each one.
IOW stabilizing the 2D image within the frame is one thing but compensating across 3D space for constantly changing background motion and revealed or hidden scenery behind the subject is something else. It seems you'd have to mask the subject, stabilize that, then stabilize the background, then composite them together so the subject hides any change of content behind him.
If there is some method or trick using warp in AE or any other product to fix parallax when stabilizing, I'd be very interested in that.

I phrased it wrong. It can get rid of geometric distortions and to a certain amount that may mask parallax issues.
Of course what's not there may not be retrieved.
