FCP 7 to FCP X

Hi,

I have a projekt made in FCP 7. I would like to edit it in FCP X. I bought the program 7toX in the App Store, because I have learned that it could translate files and projekts made in FCP 7 so you can edit them in FCP X. But it doesn't work. It won't regonize the files or the projekts. Does anyone have any experience with translating flies and projekts made in FCP 7 to FCP X?

72X is an XML conversion utility. You export an XML of your FCP7 project. Take it to 72X which will convert it to an XML file that can be imported into FCPX.

"7toX" correctly spelled.

So is the issue that FCPX isn't recognizing specific video clips, or are you just not using File > Import > XML to import the FCPXML file?

How do you export to XML in FCP 7. The 7toX won't read the FCP 7 files form the disk.
I am using the 7toX program to convert to FCP X.

I want to to import a FCP 7 projekt into FCP X.

You open the FCP7 project in FCP7 and use the export to XML function.
