Hi all,

I got all of this absolutely crap footage from India and I'm supposed to make it look good... cause that's what people think I do. Anyway, I'm not here to be passive aggressive...

So, every time I open this project up there are a handful of clips that tell me that the camera is missing. All of these files are located on our local server and are organized in an appropriate way. I was wondering if this was because it is PAL footage? I'm not even sure at this point.

The footage seems to reconnect itself once I go into the server and literally point to the corresponding files, but whenever I come back to it it's "MISSING CAMERA" again.

Anyone have any suggestions of how I could go about dealing with this?

For whatever reason – possibly during transcoding – Final Cut didn't complete the import. Since you have the original clips, elect the event in the Browser and File>Import>Reimport from Camera/Wrchive.

I followed the advice, it seemed to work, but now I’m left with ‘missing file’ instead of ‘missing camera’. What would be another possibility to solve this?

Hard way solution: delete the files with ‘missing camera’ or ‘missing file’ and import them as new files. :)
