Ilfe Sound effects for FCP X

Hi,

Do any one know where to buy the Ilife sound effects for FCP X? Could not find it in the APP Store. Have not any succes with google either.

I think they still come with iMovie and GarageBand. They should be on your Mac as they come preinstalled on every new machine.

Tom is correct, you can't purchase them separately.

Did you also download the extra content for FCPX?
Contains lots of sound files if I remember correctly, not sure if there are any sound files that are in iMovie that are not in the extra content for FCPX(?)

iLife content and FCPX content are not the same. Very different packages. The iLife package as a ton of music beds that are super useful, which are not included in the FCPX content. Hopefully some day Apple will simply have one Pro App or Creative library of extra content all apps include, rather than giving each batch something different.

I kind of like it the way it is. It's like a fun little game for me. "Oh that person used that canned effect from iLife." or "That person used that canned effect from FCPX".

I recently taught an FCPX class, and one of the women said "Tears of Joy" was used in her favorite segment of her favorite episode of "The Bachelor".

Some years ago, when STP was a hot item, a Toyota commercial started the first 1/4 of the music in a TV ad with a couple of loops directly out of STP.

Yeah, I hear stuff a lot.

Back when I first became a LPX trainer, the master trainer who taught us showed how, at that time, posting music using specific drum loops would get your video deleted from YouTube, because Rihanna and some other musician both used drum loops directly from inside of LPX in their songs. So the YT algorithm would identify it in other videos, and flag them as copyright infringement.

Don't even get me started on 48 Hour Film Project competition screenings...
