Hello,

I'm exporting a short movie from FCPX and I'm getting a message saying that "the share operation has failed. "Video rendering error".

See attachments below.

The movie looks okay... Why do you think I'm getting this error message?

Thanks, Eddie

Hey Eddie,

The 50 error can mean a gazillion things. From you screenshots I can see that you had 3 failed exports and 1 successful one, is that correct? This could mean that the error message might be caused either by App Nap not being un-checked, or by corrupt reader files.

Make sure App Nap is disabled for FCP X, then delete all render files for the project and try exporting again.

Hi Ronny, Thanks for responding!

I did try a couple of times to export the file to DropBox. I also exported it to my hard drive and got the same message each time.

What is App Nap?

Thanks, Eddie

Go to your Applications folder, R-click the FCP X application icon and choose "Show Info".

In the Info window, check the box next to "Prevent App Nap". This will prevent FCP X from stopping the export after a period of inactivity. This is a frequent cause of exporting errors.

Hi Ronnie,

I will try that!

I'm out of the country for a few weeks. Let you know how it worked out as soon as I return.

Thank you so much!!! Eddie
