Best settings for Youtube / Vimeo? was created by simonpwood
Ok, sorry if this is an old topic thats been done to death. But I am constantly disappointed by the results in youtube especially.
I know vimeo and youtube have pages in their respective websites that detail the best settings; but in my experience these don't really help much.
So to all the editors here: what are your personal best settings for exporting videos to youtube & vimeo using FCPX?

I have used x264 for a long time for Vimeo. The best in my opinion. Here is a site with all you need if you want to try
tfilms.co/best-compressor-settings-for-vimeo-v2/
I use it in Compressor.

Hi, Simon. I attached a compressor YouTube droplet and some screenshots of the settings I have used in the past in this thread here:

Look for my post with the attached zip file. Let me know if it helps, however YouTube still does some pretty intense processing on your work and delivers at a much lower bitrate than what's uploaded.
