I wonder if you could straighten me out on something really basic.
I am creating a series of titles in a project called Master titles. Some of these titles are really "stacked" and have photos as a background, cross-disolves, and even a music track, and so on.
I then copy and paste each of these title section into another project and that's that.
Until client calls and has a few word changes for me. So now I have to re-edit the Master titles project, re-render, re-edit all the one's I've copied and pasted, well you get the idea.
So is this something that if I make a compound clip of the title in the Master title project, paste that into my other projects, and then if I have to edit a word, have all instances of that be changed to every place I had pasted that compound clip?
I have to admit, and I am a little embarrassed that I have not used or made a compound clip for anything to date. Or maybe what I am thinking of doing is not even a compound clip!
Thanks.

Hi Jonathan,
That's exactly what compound clips are made for. Turn your title sequence into a compound clip. This will create a parent Compound Clip in the Browser. Then you can add the CC to any project you wish. If you need to make changes to any title, make the change inside the parent CC and your changes will reflect in any project where you have used the CC.
If you only need to make a change in one instance of the parent CC on a timeline, select the CC and choose Clip > Reference new Parent clip. This will create a new instance of the CC in which you can make the changes without affecting other instances of the CC in other Projects.
