Hello,

I seem to have been rather silly, i took my GoPro Hero 4 Silver on Holiday with me, and took a load of clips in glourious 4k, however, when i put them into GoPro Studio and convert them to 1080p for easier editing in Final Cut, they play back at twice the speed.

What settings should i set as i convert the clip into gopro studio so that the clips dont play back at twice the speed in Final Cut X?

Hi!
Are you sure you actually shot in 25fps? Just to make sure.
There is no need for GoPro Studio, by the way. You can just import easily straight into FCPX. See, if that makes a difference.
Good luck!

Just looking at the title of your thread post, if you dropped a clip at 12.5 fps into a 25 fps timeline, it would in fact playback at twice the normal speed. Not sure if the GoPro 4 can shoot 12.5 fps at 4K or not, but if so and the project is 25p then this would be normal behavior. You could select the clips and retime them to match the project in that case. Or, possibly did you create a 25p project and when placing those clips in the timeline set the clips for automatic speed? This would cause them to play at their natively recorded frame rate ( the 12.5 fps you say they were recorded at), again resulting in 2x playback speed.

Creating history....one edit at a time !

I've been doing some converting works for my friends. 4k gopro videos at 12.5 fps are really rare. If it's surely at 12.5, try to create a matched timeline. Also I remember FCP has a plug-in to adjust the frame rate...just can't remember the name
