I get a black screen when adding plugin to a clip. How do I fix?

On my Macbook Pro Retina, the clip turns black (but retains audio) whenever I apply a color correction plugin. When I apply the same clip on my older, slower iMac, the plugin works.
Does anyone know what could cause a 3rd party plugin to produce a black screen?

What's the plugin? What the OS? What's the software version?

I am having a similar issue (iMac 2019, 64 gig ram, Mac 10.15.6, FCPX 10.5.1). when I apply a majority of titles or effects, transitions my video is going black. The titles that are already in the project are fine... it's when I go to apply a title or effect that it goes black (even if the same titles are working earlier in the project). Pixel Film Studio Auto Tracker 2.2 and some Core melt plugs seem to be causing the issue. Other titles still can be applied... please let me know if you need any further clarification. Thanks

Notify Coremelt of issues. They want to stay on top of things.
