Moving position of a title using arrow keys? was created by Jonathan Levin
Is this possible? I have a series of titles that appear on screen at different times and I'd like to be able to line them up up.
It seems that the only way to position the title is to click-drag, but that's not real precise. I suppose using the x-y settings (hate those) would do that.
Is there a way to use the up-down-left-right arrows to position a title? Or even to move any placed object for that matter such as a photo or graphic?
In Final Cut 7 I had a grid plug-in that at least made seeing where stuff was lining up.
Arrow key adjustment is on my wish list.
Thanks.

Hi Jonathan,
You can do this in the Inspector.
Click the X or Y parameter, or any parameter such as scale, angle, crop.
Then use the arrow keys to increase or decrease the value by 1.
Shift+Arrow will change the value by 10
Option+Arrow will change the value by 0.1

Ronny.
Thanks I can't wait to try that out!!!!
Is it possible to select a group of titles stacked in a project and then move them as a group selection using the method you outlined?

Yes!
All selected titles will move with the same amount, but of course you will only see one title move in the Viewer.

Geez, Ronny. Right out of the ball park on this one!!!!
That info just saved me hours of work! I'm going to make a giant sticky note about this and attach it to the center of my monitor!
Thank you so much. If you were here, I'd give you big kiss!
