Updating color correction on multiple clips

OK let's say that I have a bunch of individual clips shot with the same camera. I did some color correction/grading on one clip to get some decent results. I then copied and pasted attributes to all other clips shot with that particular camera. Now let's say that I want to make further adjustments to the grading. In older versions of FCPX I could just make the adjustments and do the copy/paste attributes again. But in the current version of FCPX if I do that it adds another color correction filter to the other clips giving undesirable results.
So bottom line... is there a way to make adjustments to one clip and be able to paste the changes to the other clip wthout having to go back through hundreds of clips and individually delete the Color Correction filter and then paste attributes?

Now that color correction is a true effect ... I have changed my workflow slightly. I no longer place all my color/tone corrections and/or "grading" eggs in one basket. I now use a two pass approach.
Whether I use the built in Color Board or Color Finale, I use the first pass to apply general/global tone, exposure and color correction. Then any artistic color grading is applied in the second pass by adding an additional adjustment.
Sometimes I even create an effects preset to call upon for larger or repeated processes as needed.
I even have created custom LUTs for all my cameras, and a few cameras of other staff members. I created them by applying global adjustments using layer adjustments in Photoshop on extracted stills from a cross section of captures, then export a .cube file to import into Color Finale.
Sometimes I apply a Color Finale adjustment that only includes the cube LUT ... then an additional instance of Color Finale with more adjustments using the color wheels, curves and HSL I am seeking for that particular clip or project ... This also allows for re-ordering these adjustments in the effects stack for different "looks" ... If all your adjustments are in one color adjustment effect, this re-ordering isn't possible.
It's not perfect, but now that color is in effects, it opens up even more options ... as long as you keep an orderly routine applying the settings of choice.
Now, if Apple would only add the ability to name the different instances of color adjustments in the stack ... that would be great.

Redifer.
Can you select multiple clips, and the in the inspector delete the color correction? It might say multiple selections but maybe this would work. Not at computer but will check tommorow.

Yes, that's what I would do. There is no "remove attributes" (yet), but you can select multiple clips and if they have the same effect, you can delete them all at once from the inspector (it will say X number of clips selected). Then just re-paste the color effect as needed.

Or don't delete it, just turn it off in case you want to go back to that. I think there is a way to name the correction something else instead of Correction 1, 2, and so on IIRC.
