Hi, I almost completed a project last night after spending a couple of days on it. Didn't close the programme at all just left it open to run. Im running Yosemite (have just upgraded) on an iMac and FCP 10.1.1
Im not an expert by any means.
I just uploaded some songs to it ready to complete this morning, then tried to import another video clip to use as the intro and it crashed. No matter what I try to re-open it, install from backups etc it doesn't work.
I can see all of my video clips in the upper left window but nothing at all in the timeline view below. Therefore it gives the impression that I would have to start all over again.
There are several files in the movies - final cut pro folder. It lets me open them (as a backup) and again I can see all of the media (even the songs that I uploaded just before it crashed, therefore it must be saving it), but there is still nothing in the timeline view!
I REALLY don't want to start again. Please HELP!

Is the project in the event? Double click it to open it. Is it empty? Did you start editing by using open in timeline?
