Audio Not Playing In Event Browser

Hello. I have recently encountered a problem where some of my audio files will not play in the event browser. In order to hear them I have to append them to the story line. This is frustrating since I'm not able to set in and out points before appending to the story line. The files presenting the problem are .WAV files from a TASCAM Dr40 recorder. I've never had this problem until recently. Any thoughts?

Select one in the Browser. Go to the Inspector, to the Info section. At the very bottom is a metadata view menu, which you should switch to Audio. Take a screen shot of that and post if you can, please.

Hi Ben. I actually found the remedy on here after posting my original post. It was a trick using the Audio Midi settings in OS X. Thanks for the quick reply.

Thanks Emily. This was happening with iPhone footage (I use a MOTU 828MKll) and couldn't figure it out. : >
