Moving clips (and libraries?) to an external drive.

I have been storing all of the clips related to my libraries (and acompanying projects) on my internal hard drive which is now almost full. What is the best way to move the clips to my external drive so that I can free up space on my internal drive without messing up my projects, etc? Is it best to create my libraries on my external drive in the first place? If so, can I simply move my libraries and all accompanying media to my external drive? What's the safest way to do this?
Thanks in advance!!!
David

You can just copy Libraries between drives, no problem.

If you have external media, you can move it, too, but you may need to reconnect once the ext drive Library is opened.

Yes, ALWAYS put media and projects on a FAST ext drive, never on system drive.

Great! That's intuitively what I figured, however I didn't want to take any chances! Thank you!
