We have red footage shot at native 2.39 aspect ratio.
How can I change the aspect ratio in FCPX to 2.39? Right now for some reason the aspect ratio is set to 2.1 and the width is 2048 with black bars top and bottom.
When I go to: Sequence > Settings > Change Aspect Ratio it gives me several options, 2048x857 (2.39) is not one of them. What gives? How do I get this software to let me edit in 2.39?

Hm, maybe I fail to see the problem, but since 10.1 you can have custom frame sizes. Choose "New project", and in the frame size window select "custom". You can type in any frame size and frame rate.
