FX FACTORY 5.04 Error with FCPX was created by dgwvideo
Just updated FX Factory to 5.04 and it reports when launched that it detected an issue with the AC3 import movie QuickTime component that may cause rendering artifacts in FCPX with certain plugins. Anyone else see this? Nothing else on system changed. Still running latest Yosemite and FCPX.

UPDATE: according to FX Factory support, the QuickTime component AC3Importmovie is out of date and should be removed from the system.
