Some clips different frame size than others. was created by Jonathan Levin
Hi everyone.
I could use your help.
First, I've got a bunch of projects that are 1920x1080, 29-97p 48k.
About a month ago, I imported a bunch video and audio that I then synced up. This was all shot on a DSLR the files are H.264 and I always choose to leave files in place when I import. Syncing external audio to the video. I then brought all those clips to my projects. Project and clips still 1920x1080 29.97.
Today I imported some new video and audio, shot exactly the same way synced up the video and audio, placed in timeline, and they are 1280x720 30i ???in a 1920x1080 project.
What did I do?
I spent the greater part of today importing, syncing, and adding these to the project. Is there any way to get them to 1920x1080?
Also, even though I leave my video files in place, my library is about 30 GB. Could his be the enourmous amount of render files? Why so big?
Wigging out big time, I hope I didn't just waste a day
Thanks.

Here's another clue if this helps.
I just imported a video clip and an audio clip. The video clip imported as a 1920x1080 29.97 clip and the accompanying audio clip is a four channel 48k wav poly file. That imported fine too.
When I choose to synced the two clips, and then click on the synced clip, in the inspector it is now showing that the clip is 1280x720 30i.
Please help.
Thanks.

OK. I Think I see what I did.
Before syncing the clips, I should have looked at the custom settings of the sync dialog. Had I have done that, I would have noticed that I needed to change a setting from "Set based on common clip properties (720p 1280x720 30p)" to Custom- 1080p 1920x1080 29.97.
So now that I know that, do I have to completely re-edit everything in the timeline? Can I just Resync files and somehow re-link them in my project without having to start the edit all over?
Thanks.

Problem solved....I think.
I ended up deleting all synced clips in browser, re-imported and synced clips (using correct "Custom" settings).
In my project, I then did Shift-f to find clip in browser, and then Option-r to replace the project clip with the browser clip. So in the inspector>Info, now everything appears as a 1920x1080 29.97 clip.
I am not sure why then sync settings suddenly decided to make synced clips 720p, but at least I think I figured it out.
