10.2.1 doesn's "see" an Ultrastudio 4K was created by Roadswitcher
Bought for our overhauled edit room a 27" iMac ( we were among the lucky ones to get the Retina 5k instead of the "plain" iMac ) and an Ultrastudio 4k.
Can't get this combo to work correctly with FCPX 10.2.1.
In the preferences, the Ultrastudio is not recognized as an element for the A/V output.
On my little 13" MacBook Pro with still Mavericks 10.9.5 on board and FCPX 10.1.4, it's not a problem getting through this and setting up a 3 screen workplace.
On both computers, Blackmagic's Desktop Video driver is the latest version 10.4.
Their setups are identical I/O wise.
Already tried trashing the preferences ( not much was changed, everything being brandnew ).
Has anyone experienced a similar problem of a Blackmagic Capture Device not beeing seen by Final Cut ?
And btw : BMD's Media Express works perfectly on both machines.
I'm totally stomped by this one .....
Any help would be taken with open arms.

Replied by Roadswitcher on topic 10.2.1 doesn's "see" an Ultrastudio 4K
Problem solved ..... with an update from BMD that came out this Wednesday, June 10th, for the Desktop Video Driver. Nice timing !
Now FCPX 10.2.1 recognizes the presence of an Ultrastudio 4K the same way as my previous 10.1.4 ( or 7 ).
