Unable to Share Project
For example if I choose "Master File" there should be a Master File window which opens to allow me to choose the settings for the file. This window does not appear.
I've been able to share projects in the past.
I've made a copy of my project, and that didn't help. I also tried with just one clip and I still was not able to get any option under share to work.

… and you're NOT using the trial version of FCPX? … just to exclude that ......

It seems random, for example I successfully share to Youtube or a Masterfile, then open another project try to share that and FCPX quits unexpectedly.
Restarting the App will not cure it, only solution I've found is the reboot my iMac.
I have reported it to Apple.

tpayton wrote: Humm. Sounds like something went wrong with your fcpx install or mac OS X user account. Try creating a fresh user account and see if you can share for there. Otherwise just delete the fcpx app and reinstall from the Mac App Store.

Thanks tpayton and Karsten Schlüter. I don’t think either are the cause of my issue as I opened another project and was able to select share to master file for that project. I then went back to my current project and removed one clip at a time to ensure that it was not an issue with an individual clip, but still was not able to share it.
I also tried creating new projects with other clips and was not able to share them.
So for some reason the issue is selective, but I need to figure out what it is.

Ahh this is starting to sound familiar. Try moving your events to a fresh library. See if your timeline shares then.
By any chance was this library put in on drop box?

Yes, I have tried moving the events to a fresh library and pasting the timeline in, but it still would not work.
Now I have relinked all my clips and started a fresh library and I'm getting some success, but still hoping to resolve the original project so I don't have redo all of the editing.
No, I haven't put anything in Dropbox.
One thing I've just found is that project will not render.

I didn't use any add-on transitions or effects. Everything I used is native to FCPX.

Wow, something is definitely up. Are you in the states? Please email me and we can get this figured out. My email is my fcp.co username and then my company which is onecreative and then dot net.

I tried what you said. I made a new event and then imported the xml.
I tried rendering it and for a few minutes it showed that it was rendering, but when it completed I still saw the orange line in the timeline indicating that it did not render.
