Hi all,
I am running 10.1.4 and mastering 90 mins of a final cut that i need to urgently deliver today. it stalls at 83% each time and i am very frustrated because i have mastered from the same time line before and it does the same each time. if there is something in my mix that is doing that, how can i exactly identify where? 83% through from the start?
hope to hear from you guys soon
many thanks
terry

First, select that Project in the Browser, go to the File menu, "Delete Generated Project Files", and be sure to delete ALL render files.
You can also launch FCPX with the Opt/Cmd keys held and delete pref files.
If neither helps, and you're in hurry, Select the Project in the Browser, File menu, Send To Compressor. This basically bypasses all render files and handles each frame of video in a slower, but some what safer manner, so to speak.
Another option if pressed for a deadline, in your Project timeline, Select All, Copy, create a new Project, Paste.

When that happened to me, it was an effect (or transition) that was causing the trouble (mGlitch in that case).
Also sometimes when there's issues like that, a render before export has worked then the export goes well...
