I have a project that specifies font colors (25c, 25m, 45y, 6k). When I add the font color in fcpx, I use the CMYK sliders and it crashes every time. Is there something about that choice of font colors that is problematic in X or am I doing something wrong? thx

CMYK values are used to describe printer inks. The RGB values are 161, 149, 113. Unfortunately CMYK and RGB don't have exact correspondence. If you're given CMYK color it's generally best to see if you can get the RGB values used by the client if possible.

Thanks Tom. That makes sense. Not sure if they'll have that info, but I'll muddle through. I wonder why they list CMKY values as an option if it doesn't correspond.m thx

You mean in the color picker? That's the Apple system wide color picker. Any colors you create and save and palettes you save will appear in any Mac application that uses the color picker.
