Is there anyone out there using TrackX on their footage? I am having difficulty doing this in FCPX using this plugin. I know how to do this in Avid but I am learning FCPX. This is a simple track I am trying to do. The subject is only moving the plate from their chest towards the camera, nothing breaks the shot. TrackX is not tracking the plate. I really do not understand how since the tutorial does not allow me to select the media for tracking. I am using the simple tracker placed on top. Here is a image. Can anyone give me some advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Not at my mac right now, but you might have to put the clip you want to track on the primary storyline for this action. Just select it and hit CMD-ALT-DOWNARROW to do so. Hope this helps.

Sebastian is correct. The TrackX manual clearly says that the TrackX generator needs to be connected to the clip you want to track. You can only connect to clips that are on the primary storyline.

I am still learning. I am an Avid editor looking to insert FCPX into my work flow. I am enjoying it but it gets frustrating having to relearn something I've been doing for years. All is good and I am happy to have you guys in this community giving me advice and tips.
