Event Notes

I running FCP 10.2.1 and just getting started on a doco with a lot of footage. I'm chunking out the 'Favourite' bits of the raw footage and I'd like to annotate each 'Favourite' sub-clip describing what it's about. In the Event Browser, in list format, there is a column for 'Notes' (along with columns for Start, End, Duration, Content Created, and Camera) When I make a change to a Note against a particular sub-clip, it changes the Note to every other sub-clip. Not particularly handy as I expect to have several hundred sub-clips and I'd like each of them to have a Note that uniquely and briefly describes what each sub-clip is about. Grateful for any advice on how to overcome or work around this problem.

When you say subclip do mean the favorite that you made? Or a keyworded section? The term subclips is not used in FCP AFAIK. If you mean the favorite try changing the word "favorite" to the note. If you mean a keyworded section, change the note in the collection.

Tom, Thank you. I'm referring to Favourites which I have made. I apologise for the incorrect use of the word 'subclip'. Now, just to prove how little I understand, what do you mean by ' try changing the word "favorite" to the note'?

In list view the word Favorite that you see under a clip can be renamed. Select the word, press return, type in whatever you want.
