Exporting with "Better performance" selected

I have read that you lose sharpness in your final output when you export with "Better performance" selected instead of "Better quality". I would have expected "Better performance" to only affect the playback of the timeline and not your export settings. Can someone confirm that you do, in fact, lose quality when you export and have "Better performance" selected? I did a few tests and can't see any lost quality in my Prores export but I would rather have someone's educated opinion.

That's misinformation. The playback setting makes no difference to export quality.
