Not able to see MXF files after fresh install

Hello all. Bit of an emergency here...

I did a clean install of Yosemite on my MacBook Pro last week. Reinstalled X 10.2, Compressor, Motion. Even made separate user user account for editing to stay off the admin account.

Now I find I can't see mxf files. I get the green screen when i try to import. These are files I've used as recently as a couple of weeks ago. I can see and import other media just fine. Trashed X preferences...no change.

What am I missing here?

Did you install the "Pro Video Formats"?

Just did that and restarted. Still no joy. Just a green screen instead of video.

Ok - problem solved.

Yours truly neglected to make sure the Avid codecs were installed on this machine after the recent clean install. Since the mxf files in question are, in fact, Avid files...well, duh!, as the kids say. All is now well.
