Custom background and timecode not displaying anymore was created by BambooMagic
Howdy,
I've been noticing more and more issues over the past week, probably since I updated to 2.0. Some I could live with, but others completely prevent me from doing my work.
FCP doesn't allow me to use solid backgrounds anymore. If I add a custom background, there is no more option to select a color. When I choose any other solid background (grey scale, vivid, whites, etc) the layer is invisible. In other words, there is no way to use ANY solid background as they are not visible, wither they are on the primary storyline or as a connected clip. When I open an older project that has a solid background, that background is not visible and shows as black.
Another problem I noticed was that timecode is not displaying when I apply it to a clip.
Has anyone else experienced this lately? I never had these problems before the last couple of weeks and the only things I've installed lately were:
-2.0 update
-the latest redcine
-an mFlare update

Just to clarify, when I say the custom background layer is "invisible" I don't mean it's inactive. I just mean that it does not display.

It is not clear to me how you are adding that solid background. Are you using the Custom generator, or some other? Do you have opacity set to some level other than 100%?

Yes custom generator, although several generators such as timecode and other solid color generators did not display. Re-installing FCPX solved the issue, at least for now.
