Hello people...I just bought myself a new Mac Mini...fully loaded
3Ghz i7
16 GB memory
SSD not spinny disk
So heres my question..I am importing some media into FCP but it is sluggish...
CPU was 28 % used, same thing with memory...does anyone know I can apportion more CPU and Memory to run FCP at full tilt??

It runs as fast as it runs, that's it.
What is the media coming off of? Camera cards are usually the slowest link in the chain, being USB 1 or 2 and not very fast. So a faster CPU won't improve that.
