Is FXFactory buggy or am I just doing it wrong.

I'd had bad experiences with FXFactory in the past, but others had told me it was worth trying again. Anyway, here is what is happening:

- I install FXFactory
- Select Ripple 3D Animations
- The new text animations now appear and work in FCP.
- However, when I disable the plugin and go back into FCP, it still shows Ripple 3D Animations as choice, but each of the effects is red as if it's missing (so it is not fully uninstalled).

To be clear, I don't want to uninstall the entire FXFactory program, but I would like to be able to try and then not keep certain effects.

Is there a better way to do this?

You have to restart FCPX so FxFactory can move the plugin out of FCPX.

I thought I had, but it appears like I had to do it twice and that fixed it.
