Specifically what parameter in what template are you trying to key frame?

I just tested this with two different parameters inside the text inspector (Both Line Spacing and Tracking) Do not work when you try and key frame them. The sliders moves per your keyframes but the text does not animate. All Video Transformations and Title Text Published Parameters that are key framed via the inspector works. Thanks for the tip. I haven't run into this.
@BenB My test was with the Custom Text, my assumption is that this would be a baseline for all the other text generators.

It worked fine for me, but I just had a hunch when I read your reply. I had tried it with titles I created from scratch in Motion. I just had a quick look again and it doesn't work for me either with the presets.
You could try editing the required template in Motion and see if it works with the new version. If I get a spare minute later on I'll give it a go. I'm also trying to think if the titles I created were before the 7.2 update , but I don't know if that would matter or not.

Haven't had time to test it out, but be sure to fill out the feedback form (Final Cut Pro menu).

I've just taken a bit of a further look into this. Opening a copy in Motion doesn't really help and testing out different things in previous titles I had made myself shows inconsistent results.
There is something that seems to be consistent, if you open a copy in Motion and publish the parameters you want to keyframe these seem to be consistently keyframable whether it's a copy of a preset or a custom title. It seems that anything under the "Title" tab is fine but under the"Text" tab is erratic or worse.
It's not ideal, and I've not sat and tested loads of the presets but it is looking like that's where the issue lies. It's a workaround until they get it fixed.
David.

I find this to be a weird bug. You can publish tracking and it works but the tracking from the text tab doesn't work when key framed. It works to simply adjust an item but the min 2 key frames goes in the text stops adjusting. But the slider moves. Has anyone tried to see if more than 2 key frames on a parameter works?
