Cannot mix frame rates on timeline 10.2 was created by Paul Anderegg
Just upgraded to 10.2, and now, if the clips are not the same frame rate as the share timeline, then they export as still images with audio. Put a 30p clip on a 60p timeline mixed with 60p clips, the 30p's will be (exported video) still images, the 60p's will play fine. Same issue if I put a 60p clip into a 30p timeline and export it.
Never had this problem previously with earlier versions of X. Any ideas how to fix this? A coworker of mine was mixing 24p/30p/60p of 4k on his 10.2 yesterday and not having any issues. I am only dealing with 1080p and 720p. I would like to play with XAVC Intra 1080p30, but my export to air must be 720p60.

I have not seen any problems with 10.2 in this regard. Mixed frame rate clips always play at the project frame rate for me (unless of course you select automatic speed for a particular clip, in which case that clip would play at it's recorded frame rate within the project). Assuming you did not do that, try deleting your generated library files choosing all render files, then Reboot. Upon starting FXPX, hold down Command and Option keys while opening FCPX and select to delete the preferences. When FCPX opens, reconfigure your prefs however you like and try your export again. See if this helps.
