Span a library to mutiple drives was created by mhayes

Is it possible to span a FCP X Library file to two drives? I have a Library that is about 7 TB and I would like to archive it to 2 separate (less expensive) drives. If I could span the file to 2 drives it would be less expensive than copying the file to a RAID drive.

For such a large production it's better to split the library in parts and to used managed media that holds the media inside the library, but to use external media outside the library and to assign the cache to an external location.
