I have been using Yosemite for a while with no issues. I upgraded to FCP X 10.2 and apart from one Library which wouldn't update, everything is working fine so far.

I upgraded to Yosemite and FCPX 10.2 last week. Performance is considerably better and I haven't had any issues.

Just go for the update straightly, I updated it last month and it works well. The processing speed is much faster.

If you want to use FCPX 10.2 you'll have to. It will not run on earlier OS versions.

In the public and developer beta versions of Yosemite there were major bugs. In the first public release there were a couple of minor bugs (WiFi issues being a big one and the most popular to post about). 10.3.3 has fixed all of that, and it runs with FCPX 10.2 super good. Loving it.

Absolutely not true, and I ran FCPX on the developer beta before there was a public beta.

Heard you could only open FCPX when running terminal.

I recently updated to Yosimite, knowing most of you said there were no real issues.
I'm not sure why, but the beachball from He!! continues to show up when editing on the timeline. More specifically my intros/openings with titles.
Appreciate any suggestions
thanks
Bill

Sorry to hear you're running into speed bumps Bill. Have you read this by Richard Taylor and tried the steps he suggests?
