Sorry, not trying to spam you all.
Just got an email on this weekend's 24hr sale items from Waves and thought there may be others that may benefit as well. As I write, there is just over 21 hours left in the sale, which is why I posted it here for everyone to see.
The news is that G-EQ is up for sale .
It is a graphic eq that would be particularly handy to those who like working with Final Cut's graphic eq, but find its quality a little limiting or think that FCPX's standard audio scopes are a bit limiting as well, since the G-EQ scope is more detailed and more useful.
It is a nice improvement over what's included with Final Cut, specifically when you use the GEQ Modern component but the Classic EQ component comes with proportional-q filters, which makes it extremely useful as well. That this means in basic terms is that the more you push, the less harsh they will sound which is big limit i find with Final Cut's standard graphic eq plugin.
And It's still just as easy to use!!
I have it already and quite like it for it's sonic qualities and transparency which is why I thought it worth mentioning it to others.
So if you're thinking about getting a new tool like this, now would be a good time.

I went ahead and bought it. Unfortunately FCPX 10.2claims on startup that the plugins are not supported. Is the Plugin working for you within FCPX 10.2?
After a good tip form waves support it is working now!

Yeah. I managed to run all versions of the plugins up without issues and I'm up to date on everything.
How about you?? Is everything else up to date??

Waves plug-ins seem very unreliable in FCPX...

I actually haven't had that experience... Yet.

It does say it's officially supported, so if you have issues drop them a line. The bonus is that we all will benefit from any bug zapping and performance improvements they might make
