Issues with new Smart Collections, JPG color, no audio in Event.

Hi All.

I just updated to 10.2.

When first prompted, it asks to update library.

1 ) I have a few issues I'm wondering about. The first is all my previously imported Smart Collections that were made during import into designated Events are now gone. The Library opens with a new "Folder" called Smart Collection, and in that are collections called All Video, Audio only, Favorites, Projects, and Stills. 10.2 just threw everything into there without using my naming convention.

2) Also is there a way to drag items in one smart collection to a new smart collection in the same event? FC doesn't seem to let me do that.

3) Audio form iPhone movie clip no longer plays when playing that from event, but there is audio when I drag that to the project.

4) And possibly the weirdest thing is that some of my photos appear solarized and reversed when I click on them in the browser. and display in the viewer. This happens on most of my test JPG images and a few PSD. Here is a screen shot.
And what's weirder, is that most (not all) the thumbnails in the browser appear normal.

Just when I got everything working.....

1. Your snart collections are in the events in which you created them. The library snart collections are independent.

2. No. Snart collections are based on clips meeting specific criteria. You can't give the clip that criteria by moving it into the snart collection.

3. Maybe editing is set to audio only? It's working correctly here.

4. Please give complete specifics of your system including the graphics package.

OK. So I just deleted the 10.2 created default Smart collection from my library and re-iported a few of the folders of images as Smart collections in the proper events. I don't know why those just disappeared to begin with, they did, so I re-did those.

The strange color shift thing still happens mostly with JPGs shot with an IPad.

I am running 10.10.3 and not sure what "Graphics Package" you mean. I am using a Matrox MXO Mini but the color shift is happening on my main monitor as well as the one connected to the Matrox. I am really starting to hate this Matrox box and I keep threatening to get rid of it...

One other thing I notice, and this was happening before the update, is that the aspect ratio on my Matrox connected monitor when a still image is selected is not correct, everything is stretched and awful looking, however video displays just fine.

What's the computer, the graphics card, the VRAM?

Check the graphics without the Matrox.

FWIW- I deleted my preferences for FCP X using the command-option keys.

The browser is just behaving weirdly- now I can't get some of my audio/video clips to play audio when I try and play them in the browser. Just no sound. Then other clips play fine... And some audio only files will not play in the browser either.

Everything plays fine when I move it to a project.

OK. So I figured out why I was getting wigged out color behaviors, I think.

The photos that I imported into final cut were set with a color profile for Costco Photo (long story)

I converted a few back to Adobe 1998 and they seem to be fine.
