"loading motion content"

"loading motion content" was created by dkag7
Hi,
All of a sudden I started seeing this issue where, when FCPX opens it will sit there "loading motion content". Last night it never finished this (any titles on the timeline will have its default text in it ("Name..description" etc...), I had to close and re-open FCPX, then wait a couple minutes more for everything to load.
I trashed preferences.
I tried opening various projects, and it is not project related and
It will still do this if there is an empty timeline on loading up.
There are no 'bad' or missing elements in any titles, filters, generators, etc..
Has anyone seen this issue, and how to fix it?
Yosemite and 10.0.14
thanks
Kurt

Hi Kurt,
I would certainly advise you to check all your plugins. This issue may very well be related to the performance hits you have been experiencing.

I reinstalled a new OS and FCPX alone, nothing else on a SSD raid.
Same issues when editing.
I was thinking a bad plugin as well for the 'loading motion content' issue, but I didnt install or create any new ones in a while to cause this to start happening (on my other yosemite OS).
There are many plugins on this one, but nothing new... It just started happening about a week ago. I may try re-installing FCPX on this OS, but maybe Ill wait for the next release first if it will be out soon.
thanks
K

Are you saying your OS and FCP X are installed on a RAID and not on your system drive?

It is the system drive.
In the tower I have 4 ssd 500GB drives.
Formatted into 2 separate raids (0)
I run nightly backups so no issues with any redundancy.
One of the raids is my main OS
The other raid was a media area for small projects where I would put media.
When the project was done I would copy the FCPX library off and onto my external 12TB raid for backup (media and projects and libraries)
So for a test I re-formatted the raid SSD media drive, to the new OS yosemite install and new clean FCPX install.
thanks
