Colorista III and FCPX

Hi, just purchased Colorista III, and realize that it is using the Masking and Tracking features of adobe AE!
How do I work around that in FCPX? This is really an issue!
I also have core melt SliceX, has anyone ideas about using SliceX and Colorista III together?
Suggestions on this Colorista issue are very welcome!
Thanks,
André

Slic & track X is supposed to work with any other plugin as is the way it was built. I actually have both and I think if you want to do this within FCPX it is the way to go. Core melts plugin is a really good one and worth the money none the less!

I have an issue with Colorista III and FCPX (tried both 10.1.x and 10.2): when I open the edit key subwindow, we are presented, as you know, with three windows: Source, Matte and Result. Only the Source window show the image, while both Matte and Result are completely blank, no matter what I select or do. If I click in the blank windows, though, I can see an effect on the key selection, that's to say that, apparently, the problem is just the showing of the images while the images, for Colorista III are 'there'. That's to say that if I click in a zone of the image, let's say say, that I know is green, I can see the result of the selection in the 'color cube' on the right pane.
Did anyone experience this? Any help or workaround?
Thanks very much

i was also dealing with keyer issues in colorista III, got a very quick and friendly response from customer support.
it turned out that my Macbook Pro did not have the specifications that were needed for the keyer to work in FCPX.
" until upgrading into an adequate setup, there's unfortunately no way to resolve the colorista problems where
it's not pulling a good key"

I hope this might also answer your question!

Got my eye on that one myself since I have Magic Bullet Looks, if getting the impression from you guys it might be s little problematic.

Yes, thank you, it does answer it, it's probably related to the lack of OpenCl support. By the way, another problem I have with Colorista III is that, randomly, it doesn't update the image. That's to say that if I move the slider (namely the Hue, Saturaion and Lightness ones) I don't see any effect. I have to
- enter the Keyer (even if it doesn't work), exit, disable Colorista effect and re-enable it
- or reboot FCPX altogether.

Does anyone experience this? Any workaround?
Thanks a lot

I'd be interested to see if there are any performance improvements for both Colorista and FCPX under El Capitan.

But I'll guess we will have to wait for the first El Capitan releases before we will know for sure.
