Hello!!

I recorded an video sequence in pan movement, in that video have an photo frame with green paper (for keying in edition). I want to put other video inside of photo frame.

I tried it with "distortion" tool and keyframes, but the video I have recorded without tripod and not fit well.

Please, how I can put an video inside of photo frame with good results?. Any plugin?. Which is the name of this effect?.

Thanks!!

1st, I'd have just done a good photo of the photograph frame. Then you can, in FCPX or Motion, place the photo or video you want over it, crop it and scale it to fit inside the frame. Then in FCPX put both into a Compound Clip, or in Motion they'd both be in a Group together. Then keyframe the Position parameters to pan it much easier, smoother, save tons of time and headaches.

With something already filmed, you'd need to use the motion tracker in Motion or buy TrackX/SliceX from Coremelt.

Thanks BenB.

Keyframing position has not good results because image have hands camera movements and requires hundreds of keyframes and much work.

TrackX looks very good!!.

Thanks!!

Keyframing position if it is a photograph, not a movie clip. If it needs a hand-held camera look to it, that's super easy to do with a behavior in Motion. Still much easier to do than using a movie clip.

I haven't used it yet (still trying to find a project for my company to buy it), but I am pretty sure TrackX would help a ton.
