I have 600 photos in event library. Is there a way to identify which photos have been dropped to timeline while viewing in the event libary? With this many photos, its hard to keep going back down to timeline to remember which ones were already placed in timeline.

I had previously used Pinnacle, and every time I dropped a photo to the timeline, a checkmark would appear on the photo in the library section indicating that I had already used that photo. Is there anything similar in FCPx?

Thank You!

Hi Carol,

If you go to menu View>Show Used Media Ranges you can identify the used photos in the browser by an orange line at the bottom of each thumbnail.

In addition to what Robbert-Jan mentioned, when you view the browser as a list (option-command-2), there will be a little triangle in front of each used photo. When you click on it, you will even see the word 'Used'...

Plus, the Browser filter menu, top left, you can set to only see unused media, which would filter out any used photos, so you only see what you've NOT used so far.
