Hi folks,

I'm looking for tips on how to easily pull off the following:

Over the course of my hockey league's season I've edited game highlight videos for 50-60 games.
I have these games bundled under Events, 1 event typically has 3-4 games from that night of hockey.
Now that the year is over I want to go through all the videos (fcpx projects) and copy certain "highlight" save/goal clips to a new project that I'm building as a "Year In review".

My question is: Is it possible to keep the "Year In Review" project open while I sift through the other projects and Cmd-C single clips that I the Cmd-v into the project? It's not a huge deal but it's a bit of a pain to alway have to re-open the project I'm pasting the clips into. Perhaps I'm missing a trick to simplify my workload.

thanks for the tips,

same here, but soccer ...

The secret sauce is j/k/l/i/o/f

scroll through your Projects (JKL), and when you notice a worthable scene, set In- and Out-points (I/O) and hit F.

When done, filter 'Favorites', drag all into the Year-In-Review project - done.
You can do that without touching the mouse, nor moving your hand, back'n forth btw. mouse and keyboard - done in minutes!

If your best-of is a bit stuctured (best shots, best defense, best… and for sure 'outtakes'), build a keyword-collection, apply those to your selections... asks for a bit more finger-artistry, but can performed blind-folded too... (wot?? ;) )

concerning two Projects simultanousely:
You know the function of this tiny triangle/'arrow'?
