Assign Keywords in Timeline?

Would anyone else find it helpful to be able to add keywords in the timeline? For my workflow, it would be very efficient, especially if one could select multiple clips on a timeline and apply keywords at once, and most especially if one could do this from the timeline of a multicam clip.

Until then, simple Shift-F, takes you to the Browser original, Cmd-K, add it there. Quick, easy.

Yes, keywords from the timeline would be nice, I would really like to be able to change the color of clips on the timeline as well.. and while im at it, I really miss the button bar in FCP7

I think shift F has a odd copy issue..?

I am now making many projects that are the same, so what I do is save the previous project as a snapshot (template like), rename it to the new project, then begin editing on the new one..
When I use shift F to find the main clip area in the browser from the new project, I get a duplicate of the clip created... dozens of them now..
Maybe its coming from saving as snapshot, but its frustrating none the less..

Shift-F shouldn't duplicate anything. If you're doing snapshots, I'd keep the snapshot as my archive, as it is time stamped in the name. Then continue with my original. And if you are doing snapshots with Compound Clips or Multicams, yes, you are duplicating those, so the new snapshots don't interfere with the originals. But normal clips should not be duplicating with Shift-F. That is something very wrong.

I hated the button bar. Slow, hard to see, crowded. Learn the keyboard shortcuts, they're easy to learn, and you'll work much faster.

If you're making that many snapshots, I'd suggest starting a new post, explain your workflow, what your goals are, because that many snapshots, I would think, are not an efficient workflow. But without more information, I'm just guessing.

Already familiar with shift - f. It doesn't work great (usually have to do it twice to see if it's made there correct select) and it's not what I'm looking for. I want to be able to apply keywords to multiple clips at once from the timeline, and from the multticam timeline. If shift-f worked with multiple clips at once that would be a help.

Thanks for your thoughts, though.
