CDL from Resolve? was created by ballarddog
Hello I am wondering if anyone has used a CDL from DaVinci Resolve in FCPX. I am trying to do something that I know is in reverse, but DaVinci says the CDL out has all the basic color info that will translate into FCPX. I don't have access to a FCPX just FCP 7 which it will not work with.
Any help would be great.
Thank you,
John

Hi John,
That won't work, not with any NLE.
ACS-CDL is a very specific format that is used to transfer grading information between Resolve users. It can also be exported from on-set grading tools such as Pomfort Livegrade to be imported in Resolve. To my knowledge no NLE will read this format, so I don't know why anyone at BM would claim that this will work.
