Stabilisation wrecked my edit was created by Happyfingers
Hello all
I put a number of hours into a edit
Had some nice slow motion shots (inline hockey)
Put some transitions in, some text, I was really happy with it
Hit the stabilisation button and waited an hour or so
Footage came out stable but the audio was ruined
Didn't want to add a soundtrack
Couldn't undo or reverse the stabilisation
So ended up deleting it
Have to do it all over again
So stabilisation wrecks the audio correct ? Is that supposed to happen ?
Is there a way to avoid that happening ?
Cheers

I've never experienced stabilization doing anything to audio. What specifically do you mean by "ruined"? Details would help.

the audio became all crackly as if stabilisation had removed slices of it
so if a person said a word you would hear the start of the word, the end of the word but not the middle of the word
i didnt export to see if it translated to the finished product
could i detached the audio tracks from the video before stabilisation ?

First, I'd delete all render files, and re-render the timeline to see what happens.
No matter what happens, I'd still export a Master File and see how it plays.
Are you set for Better Playback for Better Quality?

Select the Library, go to the File menu, "Delete Generated Library Files". In the window presented, choose to delete all render files, in case you have some corrupted ones somewhere.
