Hi guys,

I have 2 questions that I can't find the answers to anywhere.

1. Recently saw something on my timeline and I can't for the life of me work out what it is. I've attached a pic to show what I mean. If looks like a sneaky frame has jumped in, but when I expand the timeline right out, it's the same size. What does it represent?

2. I've noticed on a few clips that the footage on my timeline gets darker near an edit point. Like the film strip is just a tiny bit shaded. Very subtle, but nonetheless there. What does this represent?

Thanks to all the experts!

Phil

Looks like a flash frame. Zoom in a lot.

Sometimes a drop shadow effect appears on some edit points. It usually doesn't mean anything, but can't tell without seeing it.

Definitely not a flash frame... Does anyone else have any other ideas.

I tried to do a free frame in that particular clip and it wouldn't have it. Does that give a clue?

Sorry for being anal about this, I just really want to increase my underlying knowledge of this brilliant software.

Thank you,
Phil

PS - Will try to find a shadow clip example.

This is a single frame, bladed out. That's what it looks like to me. Zoom in enough to select it, delete it. That said, your screen shot does look a bit odd, though.
