FCP X keeps hanging on loading event

hello together,

FXP X keeps hanging while loading events. It happened now a couple of times and after I removed the event from Library it works but every 2-3 weeks it happens with another event.

I also can't close FCP 10.1.4 x then but need to force quite.

I run DR Pro Maintenance tools on the projects but they don't find anything.

Any suggestions?

How large is this Library? Do you keep all your Events inside one single Library?
How much RAM does your system have?

Library size 1.46 TB on a Promis Raid, 48 GB Ram, 3.5 6 Core Intel Mac Pro


Yes that's my main library so most events are in there
maybe should start splitting the libraries on same HD?

The Library size is not that big and you have plenty of RAM, so that's not really a problem. But yes, it's always a good idea not to keep too many Events inside one Library. You can easily move Events to another Library inside FCP X. Just select the Event you want to move and choose File > Copy Event to Library... When the Event has been copied into the new Library you can delete it from the original one.
