Cryptic message from CrumplePop

Got this email from CrumplePop:

prepare yourself.

next week.

fcp x.

.

.

Now what does that mean? Do they have some inside info and know there's a new version of FCPX coming (and they have effects for it). Or just that they are releasing something new then?

It feels like CrumplePop are emailing far too frequently either way

If they were FCPX beta testers, or developers who knew in advance, they couldn't legally tell you anything about an FCPX release. So it must be their own product. That's all the can legally speak about.

But it was such a weirdly worded message to send out. Maybe they were just out of words after the 400 emails about magnetic audio they sent

There is a rumour that a new version is coming asap.

My guess is that they have heard it from someone who has a NDA and since they don't have an NDA themselves they've decided to email about it. Or something like this.

Anyway, just pure speculation, it's fun to do but not to take very seriously

I agree with you they are a great company but have started to email too much

Folks who have NDA aren't told release dates, and if they did, would never tell a release date. If someone does leak a release date, they don't know what they're talking about. Speculation is speculation, no justification required.

It was probably just a marketing stunt for the bundle campaign that went live today.
