Clip Exporter vs Primaries Exporter

After discovering a bug in the AV framework (clips exported from clip exporter show incorrect TC - solution=use the 'legacy exporter' option in the non App store version) I noticed one BIG difference between Clip exporter and Primaries Exporter:
Primaries Exporter doesn't maintain the Source TC in the exported clips, Clip Exporter does!
Reason as Thomas told me is because the Primaries Exporter uses the FCP timeline data.

Anyhow was just thinking might be good to know if you are tossing up between the 2 apps.

Hi Carsten,

Thanks for posting this information.

I haven't used Primaries Exporter yet, but it's good to know the difference between PE and Clip Exporter in regards to the source TC, which is so important in post (specially when collaborating with other departments).

Thanks again for the heads up and happy editing to you too! ;)

Many thanks for this information. I hope those two tools will be update to take this in account and one or the other will take the source TC and the ability to burn this TC on the export. Sometime to work with directors it's a really helpful and to do that today I use Resolve which isn't easy for everyone.
